Cymbopogon flexuosus is a perennial grass that can reach heights  of 10.5 meter and is native to Sri-Lanka, Nepal, Thailand and Burma. Nowadays it is also cultivated in the West Indies, Africa and Tropical Asia. It is also called as a Lemon Grass. Lemongrass essential oil is produced by the steam distillation of freshly cut leaves and can be extracted by using alcohol. It helps in stress-related disorders, and it was found to have antifungal and antimicrobial properties. It also can be used in bath for soothing muscular nerves and pains.
